THE labneh -or labneh- is a fresh cheese typical of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. This cheese cow milk and at goat’s milk originated in the mountains of Lebanon. It is a typical snack from Syrian, Lebanese and Jordanian cuisine. Labné is made in the dairy industry with thermophilic lactic acid bacteria from yogurt.

Fresh toast with Labné, olives & pistachios
For 4 people: 1 Labné pot, 4 slices of bread, pitted black olives, 20g of crushed pistachios, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 lemon
–> Steps:
In a bowl, mix the Labné with the olive oil and the juice of a lemon. Toast your bread slices. Leave to cool and spread the mixture on your toast. Add a few pieces of black olives cut into small pieces and crushed pistachios

Labné fresh toast, cucumber and radish
Ingredients for 4 people: 1 jar of Labné, 4 slices of bread, 1 cucumber, 1 bunch of radishes, 1 teaspoon of finely chopped chives, 1 lemon, 2 tablespoons of olive oil
–> Steps
In a bowl, mix the Labné with the olive oil and the juice of a lemon. Cut the vegetables into thin slices. Toast the slices of bread. Leave to cool for a few moments. Spread the mixture on your toast and add the slices of cucumber and radish. Add a few sprigs of finely chopped chives Enjoy!

Fresh toast with Labné and sunny vegetables
For 4 people: 1 Labné pot, 1 red pepper, 1 yellow pepper, 1 onion, 12 cherry tomatoes, parsley, 4 slices of bread, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, pepper.
–> Steps:
In a bowl, mix some Labné Président with the olive oil, salt and pepper. Fry the onion, peppers and tomatoes previously cut into small cubes over low heat for 5 minutes with a drizzle of olive oil. Toast the slices of bread then spread the preparation. Garnish with vegetables and add chopped parsley leaves. Taste.

Labné Mezze Style
For 4 people: 1 labné pot, 2 mint leaves, 1 lemon, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 20g of crushed pistachios, pita bread.
–> Steps
In a container, mix the labneh with the finely chopped mint leaves, lemon juice and olive oil. Spread the preparation on pita bread and add the crushed pistachios. Good tasting !
