Antibiotics, vaccines, cancer drugs… to deal with the shortage of drugs in pharmacies, the government has just announced the forthcoming relocation of 25 molecules. 25 more drugs are expected to follow.
Amoxicillin, paracetamol, drugs against cancer: for many months, it has become complicated to obtain certain treatments in pharmacies. To deal with this shortage, Health Minister François Braun announced last April that the government was working on drafting a list of 450 priority and essential drugs.
That’s done. The President of the Republic, traveling to Ardèche at the beginning of the week, presented this list from which he took out “50 essential drugs for which our dependence on imports from outside Europe is proven” and whose production will be relocated to France more or less less long term.
What will be the first drugs relocated to France?
Of these 50 drugs, 25 “will see their production relocated or significantly increased in the coming weeks”, announced Emmanuel Macron. The list of these 25 priority molecules:
